interests

I enjoy travelling and visiting new countries and peoples.  As well as travelling extensively on holidays to places such as Africa, Europe, the Pacific islands and the United States during my legal career, I had the opportunity to travel regularly to places such as Hawaii, Switzerland, Spain, Greece, Holland and Germany in connection with clients' business. I have a home on the Costa Blanca on the eastern coast of Spain.
 
I am interested in languages. I learned French and German before starting my legal career, and currently I am studying Spanish.
 
I enjoy listening to music ― particularly opera ― and attend the theatre whenever possible. It is interesting to read literature in different languages.
 
I am a less-than-keen gardener, but have enjoyed planting trees in my Spanish garden, such as lemons, olives, limes, oranges and nectarines.
 
I am a dog enthusiast, and am owned [stet] by a young beagle called Beba, whose photographs are on this site.
 
I enjoy meeting with and talking to people. I am developing my knowledge of the Spanish wine industry.
