Since my retirement I have been involved in the work of establishing a not-for-profit organisation [charity] in Spain, along with Spanish lawyers. I have also prepared and implemented its good governance documentation along UK standards, as there is nothing similar in Spain. I was able to help with this through my own earlier experience of being the Secretary of a large Scottish public charity. I have also kept up to date with developments in the law.
I have a UK passport and speak good French, German and Spanish. While I have retained my membership of The Law Society of Scotland, I do not hold a current practising certificate.
I am available to provide assistance to firms which may need some temporary support with managing their workload or for a particular project, such as preparing or reviewing documentation, report drafting, research, knowledge management and newsletter content. I am not available for court or tribunal appearances in the UK.
I am also able to offer assistance to businesses and organisations with legal and non-legal matters.
